High-speed thread control

The new laser sensor FOC from the F-Las-Series of Pulsotronic detects in high-speed flaws in threads (slubs, bends, cracks) and serves as high-performance tool for the quality control in the thread industry. Different to conventional laser light barriers the FOC sensor parallely works with 3 laser beams that are arranged in a certain angle. Thus the sensor detects thickness-deviations on all sides of the thread and transforms them into a signal. The arrangement of two ray beams one after another assures that the sensor only detects those deviations that go beyond a certain threshold which is set by the user. The operating velocity of the FOC sensor is at 25 KHz. At a thread-speed of 10m/s a measurement is effected every 0,4mm and the customer profits from a 100% control of his product. Wrong machine settings are identified immediately and can be adjusted in real-time. The automatic soiling compensation of the sensor assures constant measuring values. Another field of application of the FOC sensor is the wire industry with the quality control of the plastic coating of isolated wires. Custom-specific strain and length measurement

With the new strain gauges sensors Pulsotronic presents a new technology for the industrial measurement of strain and length variations. The nominal measuring distance of the actual sensors is at maximum 1000µm/m and can be adapted according to the requirements of the application. Due to the adjustable sensibility of max. 1,5mV/V and the minimum zero point deviation of +/- 1% the strain gauge sensors provide high-capacity measurement of static and dynamic strain on bridges, wind energy plants and other steel constructions. The operating temperature of our sensors ranges from -40°C to 120°C. The zero point deviation and the temperature coefficients are adapted individually to the material of the measuring object. Each of our strain gauge sensors is a custom-specific solution. We develop these sensors according to your requirements and the challenges of your application.

New flat sensors with localised resolution

Pulsotronic-Anlagentechnik has developed a new line of high-sensitive flat sensors for the detection of small metallic pieces. Due to several channels that are arranged parallely in the sensor the FS series provides localised resolution for metal detection applications. This means that metallic contamination in the product stream is not only detected but also localised and can be separated easily. This brings about enormous advantages especially for the recycling industry and industrial filter systems. The sensors are operated via a separate control element or via PC. Operation with a PLC is possible. The sensors of the FS series are available from April 2008 in several designs and with maximum 100 channels.

New analog sensors providing for high flexibility

The new analog sensors from Pulsotronic with programmable switching points and an extended switching distance are setting up new standards in so far as flexibility is concerned. The sensors possess four programmable switching points, configurable as normally close (N.C.) or normally open (N.O.) contacts according to the requirements of the application. Current and voltage values of the sensors are freely adjustable in between the threshold values. With these proximity switches the user is able to realise any desired output characteristics until an optimum linearity for the application is attained. Furthermore the sensors enable the user to program a switching window for gating out unwanted measured data.

Example: analog sensor in design M18
